Leadership Council SMC, in partnership with Alicia Santamaria of Adelante Coaching + Consulting, hosted professional development for leaders in San Mateo County.

“Lead with Strength: Unlock Your Leadership Potential with CliftonStrengths” allowed leaders to deepen their understanding of their natural talents and transform them into strengths to drive personal and professional success.

Two courses were offered in this series: “Introduction to CliftonStrengths” designed for leaders new to CliftonStrengths or those seeking a refresher, and “Leading with CliftonStrengths” for participants seeking a deeper dive for leaders into their CliftonStrengths talent themes.

Facilitated by expert leadership coach Alicia Santamaria of Adelante Coaching + Consulting, these workshops offered an engaging mix of personal reflection, collaborative learning, and practical application. Participants explored the Gallup CliftonStrengths framework, and focused on their personalized “CliftonStrengths for Leaders Report.” The report outlines each person’s top 10 strengths and how they can be effectively used in their roles and responsibilities. Participants worked independently and collaboratively with classmates to apply their strengths to current, real-world challenges. They left the courses with action plans for continued growth, ready to return this work to their teams and organizations.

The feedback consistently echoed themes of newfound self-awareness, validated strengths, and a strengthened sense of purpose and belonging.
