Gilbert has a broad range of strategy and leadership expertise, gained through roles in high technology, public education governance, and nonprofit strategic planning. He is co-founder and consulting strategist with Living Strategy, Inc., which provides software and services to education leaders as they create inspirational visions to help K-12 schools thrive.

Gilbert has served as a trustee on the Hillsborough School Board since 2014 and has served on the boards of three nonprofit educational foundations serving diverse K-8 through university student populations.

Gilbert received a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering & Computer Science from UC Berkeley and completed the Stanford Business School Executive Management Program.

In his spare time, Gilbert strategizes and brainstorms about career planning with those undergoing career transitions.
