Sarah Lucas is General Partner at Lucas Venture Group, a Silicon Valley based venture capital firm founded by her late husband, second generation venture capitalist Donald A Lucas. Prior to joining LVG, Sarah was the Co-Founder and CEO of Beyond Type 1, currently the largest and fastest-growing digital diabetes community in the world. She served as Executive Producer on Bike Beyond-The Documentary, which followed a team of amateur cyclists living with Type 1 diabetes, over 10 weeks as they rode from New York to San Francisco. For over a decade, she was one of the most sought after event designers in the Bay Area, having co-founded SarahSofia in 2005 and followed by Sarah Lucas Designs in 2010.

A frequent writer, with a passion for philanthropy, she has raised over $15 million for charities over the past 15 years. She has served on the board of several Bay Area and national organizations focused on youth, health and education. Originally from Southern California, she has been a Silicon Valley resident for 35 years, and thrives in the entrepreneurial environment found there. She is the mother of four incredible children and enjoys yoga + pilates, hiking with her puppy, playing Mahjong and blogging about climate action.
