Leadership Council SMC welcomed 36 senior-level San Mateo County leaders from the nonprofit, business, and public sectors. This accomplished group spent two days together in early September setting the foundational blocks that will support and connect them over the coming year and beyond.
The retreat centered around building their inclusive CORPS community. Their immersion was fast — after course logistics, they set norms; began work on diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging (DEIB) including how personal identity influences behaviors, decisions. and interactions; and learning about their personal strengths assessments.
This group was “all in” from the start, up and about getting to know each other, joining the activities, and diving into each new wave that came their way.
There is much more to come from the work of this exciting and dynamic class. Watch our page in the coming months for more!
