On Wednesday, May 4, 2022, Leadership Council San Mateo County hosted a special event to thank their community for their many contributions. Guests included Leadership Council SMC board and advisory council members, Leadership CORPS speakers and members of the Class of 2022, community and city partners, sponsors, and donors.

The evening’s theme, “The House That You Built,” highlighted the audience of supporters as the “foundation,” showcasing both the majesty of the great Carolands Chateau and the Council’s work to build a structure that is welcoming, inclusive, and enduring, filled with bright tapestry that is reflective of the community of San Mateo County.

Guests strolled the elegant rooms, learned the details of Leadership Council SMC programs, enjoyed delicious food and beverages provided by vendors associated with the Renaissance Entrepreneurship Center, chatted with old friends and made new ones. They went on tours led by Carolands docents and heard from Leadership CORPS class members Antonio López, East Palo Alto Councilmember, and Tim Russell, Program Director for the Renaissance Entrepreneurship Center Antonio awed the audience with his passion and poetry.
