Amy McHugh

Amy is a seasoned Customer Success and Finance professional with proven hands-on and leadership experience in corporate, start-up, and nonprofit environments. Amy joined Leadership Council SMC in 2022 and serves as our Director of Finance and Operations. She is also a CORPS 2024 graduate.

Amy spent the last 20 years helping start-ups expand and build on their successes. Before joining Leadership Council SMC, Amy spent nine years in edtech, working as the Director of Customer Success at EdSurge. She has been the Finance and Human Resources Manager at both for-profit and nonprofit organizations. Amy has also served on the Board of the San Mateo High School Foundation and the Hillsborough Schools Foundation.

Amy is originally from NY but has lived in San Mateo County for the past 25 years. She holds a BS from Dartmouth College and an MBA from New York University. She enjoys traveling with her family, playing tennis and pickleball, and loves to bake.
